as far as i know, maemo25 is successful to majority. i use a different kernel but that is simply great.

so far you are the first time reported about burnt battery?

my battery gets hot in 20...

Seriously now: perhaps you jumped too fast to 1ghz? Did you tried 950mhz long enought?

Do you read what you post? You complain after you OC'ed your CPU to 1GHz?
It has already been told that running at those high frequencies could (and WILL, on most devices) ruin your N900 and if so...

I can confirm that disabling power-saving reduces latency from 50ms -> 5ms
but it increases the battery drain drastically.
There are several WLAN bugfixes in the PR1.2 patches which might have...

If not, then this is not the appropriate thread for such questions.

What are you talking about !?!?!?!
You fried a cheap battery for sure, not fried n900, neither original bl-5j.
Battery gets hot in charging-discharging process, some plug-chargers could do the same...

b4 starting the flashing process you'll need to get 2 important files
1) the fw - the FirmWare for you device can be downloaded from here -...

+1. Follow it step by step and you will be fine! If your going to flash the eMMC copy you backup folder to your computer as it will be deleted.

How far do you come in the boot process? Do you see the loading dot's. Do you see the led light up? Or are it just black with no life signs?
