Compiled with gcc-4.6, so only armel (it can't be compiled with gcc-4.2), without docs (I can locally generate docs, but not in autobuilder). Seems to work.

I cannot check that at the moment, but I think your explanation is spot-on.

As some of you might know, the next Debian release "Wheezy" went into Freeze on june 30th, which means that the developers will concentrate on bug fixing now instead of adding new program versions....

Ran into this today. This is a directory permissions issue. You can fix it via xterm. Launch xterm, then:


sudo gainroot
chown -R user.users /home/user/.xournal
exit
exit

When zooming a PC out, the resolution of the PC has to fit inside the screen, or it's not zoomed out. As a reult, for 800x480 Nokia N900 screen, the best you can hope for is 640x480.
