No. The rootfs (partition) is not mounted to the PC when connected via USB. You have to use xterm.

Execute the following to temporarily move the Flash support library to a place that is not using...

As installing/changing/removing packages has system-wide impacts, you need to be the super-user to perform such actions.
sudo dpkg --configure -a
This requires having package 'rootsh' installed.
