I mean that holding one finger in place is also valid on the iphone for their pinch zoom. Pinching both fingers is only natural for those who have used an iphone and are trained to think the apple...

I prefer neither for email, my Blackberry Bold takes care of that, and has one of the best qwerty keyboards around.

Just a couple of things... Backgrounder is not multitasking. It pauses the application and saves their state and you can easily switch back to them without restarting the application. I don't think...

I like the zoom with the volume keys, it's quite rapid but not as easy if you have the keyboard slid out.

N82 and Blackberry Bold.
N900 was supposed to replace the N82 but it doesn't do pictures in the dark as well, or GPS navigation :(

Nokia BH-214 or Jabra BT3030 does the trick for me. I can plug in Ultimate Ears SuperFi 4 Pro into those as they both have a 3.5mm headphone jack.

I hate this phrase but I find myself using tablet mode more and keeping my Blackberry Bold/N82 - the latter for GPS/calls - so perhaps you are right :(
