"it has a mind of its own" only because every user has different mods and tweaks(Even apps) installed causing the n900 to behave/preform differently. if everyone ran stock maemo on their n900 and...

Possible Memory Leak :Is This Normal?
I notice my memory is pretty high, around 50mbs higher than usual. I usually get around 110mbs used on start up and it stays like that for a day or so. Now I notice when I boot up, there is around...

I'd say it generally does speed up the phone, and increases HEADPHONE volume. , no problems what so ever.

It can't. It needs to have a '4G' radio built in (really LTE and not 4G, but thats the marketing term), which the N900 was not built with.

I've never seen this before, but honestly, there's nothing a simple reflash of the firmware and the MMC won't fix... unless of course your device is actually bricked. and I mean TRULY bricked.
