i also have a smiliar problem, whenever i shutdown/restart my N900 i am unable to send recieve messages. when i reflash everything goes ok until next restart of the phone :S it really sucks to...

ok so i have completely reflashed my N900 and the smses are working so OP u have my word you wont be sorry once u update it trust me, its friggin amazing u r doing something wrong in the flashing...

yup i have always done the OTA n it works fine for me, this is the first time ever for me. i though might be a rootfs thing but its not. maybe a memory error

ok i did an OTA update and now i cant send sms messages. any idea to fix it? i am gonna do a complete flash(i.e. with eMMC) and let you guys know if that works for me
