Flash is generally always "playing", whether you see pictures moving around or not. I don't generally see fit to blame the browser for what I see as a Flash problem, be it poorly written applets or an unoptimized/buggy/whatever Flash plugin.
Was Flash performance really better in Opera? As I've said before, I didn't use Opera for long, but I seem to recall Flash not working nearly as well as it does in microB.
User experience and usability are very important to me, I just think some have unreasonable expectations.

I think we're supposed to be able to switch between engines? maybe in the future we can switch from microB, to WebKit, Opera, or whatever.
Hopefully, I like choices

Maybe browser can protect itself better from bad Flash applets? Maybe Flash plugin needs even more work (good progress has been made so far)?

Me too..But as far as I've understood Opera is phased out in OS2008, so it'll be limited to MicroB (and later, I think) WebKit + whatever.

I wonder what's keeping the old Opera from running in OS2008?
If no official support comes, maybe we'll see a hack.

It's already running in OS2007 on the N800, I don't see how upgrading some other software would have anything to do with their license?
If Nokia has a license, I'd imagine it's per hardware, not software.
I don't get it
