if you have the dev. version with sc 1ghz...

but if we get the consumer version with u8500+mali, 1080p will be no problem!

edit: will be no problem => could be possible as long as nokia dont cut it

I mean, yes, is something really important, but there are many features that are worth commenting. It's a pity that this is probably the last Maemo/MeeGo device (at least for a while), so if it has a keyboard some will be dissapointed, and if it has not the other way round.

But, come on, it seems that all the apps will be a complete rewrite, and there are almost no comments on that.

To those who had access to the device, or inside knowledge: do you miss features in the core apps? (messaging, calendar, contacts, email, etc.)

Thanks.

PS: IMHO, we don't need 200 more messages about how important the hardware keyboard is for you. I think we all got the point, isn't it? :-)
Apps are great. Everything which people want is integrated. Social networks , Google contacts etc.. all stuff has been implemented and that too very well. I love it.

are we talking about quite a few 92.000 maybe?

Not 100%. Only if Nokia allows it to. Much like many other dual core androids out there using Tegra2, Exynos etc. But ONLY SGS2 can play 1080p mkv. It's a matter of optimization, drivers and codec. Even N900's hardware was not utilized fully by Nokia. (Samsung omnia with same SoC can play/record 720p videos but N900 drops frames even at WVGA while recording and only native player uses dsp but is very limited)

Not much gap.. another 2-3 months and it should be in your hand.

Yes, judging from the leaked Harmattan package list there are a nice bunch of services alreadys integrated OOB, which I really love... if this list is true I won't need almost no additional software...

Well this is all rumours and hearsay so far but what I am hearing is a bit of a bummer...

I mean having an N900 makes me want a device with a good keyboard going forwards and the device shown in the teaser with the mini chiclet keyboard looks awesome and has me wanting one big time...

However while I am a developer I am not a mobile developer so this now puts me at the disadvantage of the consumer device and no keyboard!

I guess all I can hope for (among the many others expressing the same concern) is that some developer will put their up for sale in ebay and we will get in on the bidding action...

Come on Nokia if there are 2 devices give us (the consumers) the option on which one to buy, let us make our own minds up!

I may not be a mobile developer but I am an application developer and major nerd and coming from the N900 I want a bigger screen, a faster processor and a keyboard!

Regardless, when technology advances why do people seem to regress and go backwards? A HKB is a much better alternative then a software keyboard no matter how good it is. If it wasn't then RIM would have made some more touchscreen only devices.

People who send alot of texts/emails. the VKB is just useless in comparision.

Go find a true Words Per Minute reading on an onscreen QWERTY compared to a physicaly QWERTY.

Excl. things such as swype
sorry, i thought you have read my previous posts... if i talk about writing words fast, then i talk about swyping... (until we get tactile feddback .

and RIM is only successfull because of their secure mail-system(incl. nice push). they got famous because a lot of companys are using their phones (including my company). Some kind of company creating devices for other companys... not for the american idol watching mass...

But if everything I hope will come true (and it really looks like) the mass will be amazed of the N9!

Is it fair to say then that that Youtube video is indeed a year old - as it shows a handset that is never actually going to be released?

No wonder Nokia are pissed off it got leaked. They've got everyone's hopes up now that there's a top end keyboard device coming out... and there isn't. It's just another flashy slate to go with all the others
