Thanks for posting more details. For best results in this (or any) technical forum, please post what you typed into the cmd/shell/whaetver as well as the full output. Just saying "it didn't work" means that all we know is that it didn't work. With extra detail we can probably explain to you what's going on and help you fix it.

Also, what do you mean: I went to the flasher? Do you mean you changed directory (using cd) in the cmd prompt, or something else?

Thanks.

alright..

- well i got that RD mode. - flashed it = RD mode was still there.

Posted here on the forum.

- tried To open CMD
I'd type: cd \program files\maemo\flasher-3.5 (enter)
flasher-3.5.exe --enable-rd-mode (enter)

(but, got a message - that it couldnt find a suitable device.)

- so i Tried to open the: Flasher-3.5.exe (commander)
in the " \program files\maemo" folder

Typed the same thing as i did in the "CMD"

= RD mode - got away

But when i tried to use Xterm. on my n900

that gave me this message:

Enable RD mode if you want to break your device

So now im like confused - please help me ?

install rootsh or sudoer if you want to use root on x-term....

as for disabling the R&D mode if you using windows 7 just go to

program files/maemo/maemo flasher 3.5 & click on..

Code:
maemo flasher 3.5
no need to open cmd cause you can go straight to flashing your device after you click on it....

if you want to disable the R&D mode just type

Code:
flasher-3.5 --disable-rd-mode
press enter then connect your device with hardware keyboard open & pressing the 'u' button until flasher show you have successfully disable R&D mode...

You are trying to use SUDO in xTerm (on N900)?

Open your application manager and install ROOTSH.

No need for RD anymore.
