I guess it will only change "everything" for Verizon customers. They are not available in my area.

In my case, it would cost me no more than what I already pay and I would get mobile 3G that travels with me. That's the ultimate solution. (I'm assuming I can get it to work on Ubuntu at home and the N810 because offically they only support the "other guys".)
Unfortunately, Cricket is not available in my area, but maybe some of you will find this idea worth looking at.
Cricket 3G costs $40/mo for unlimited use, so if you are not replacing home broadband that costs at least that much, it might not be as attractive to you.
If anyone has tested (or does test) this, please let me know. I assume they will be in my area soon because they are in most other parts of the USA.
Or maybe one of the major carriers will offer affordable mobile broadband in my area in the near future. With that in mind, is there any USB device + mobile broadband plan that will work with the N810? (I don't want to use a phone.)
