@sapporobaby: You see unfriendly comments where there are none. _PLEASE_ learn to read postings properly. To read messages in writing is to interpret the attitude behind, and it looks to me you're constantly mis-interpreting. Critique isn't attack, and "no" doesn't mean "bugger off". And this posting isn't written with an angry face either.

I am going to have to stick with Serialdie on this one. It wasn't the first post that caused problems. It wasn't asking for new features. It was the idea that its "easy" why aren't you doing it. This kind of work is hard, and people who marginalizes it like that make fewer people want to do it for free. Its like someone saying "I want my car to be able to also be a boat. I have seen other people do it. How come no one has made my car a boat yet, it can't be hard"

Don't you find it a bit strange that the original poster has not shown up again, just like in a few other threads where supposedly unfriendly comments weren't ushered? Anyway, whatever dude. I can read and speak english as my mother tongue. Maybe it was not your intention but it is how it came across. Dude... The problem was in the OP's second post where he was "SURE" it wasn't that hard. That wasn't a friendly noobish remark... It was antagonistic.

Your agenda seems to be how this place can be kinder and gentler to all who post. That would perhaps be better presented in it's own thread. Perhaps many would agree with you... In that thread.
Part of the problem is not only are new users new to the N800, they are new to the Linux environment as well. However, I see that there now is a noob forum and that is a step in the right direction.

Reread the OP's second post and think how you would react if someone who did not now the workings of military satellites sent you an e-mail ( C/C'ed to everyone else, BTW) that requested non existent feature from you and then stated that he was "sure" you could make it happen.

Which has got nothing whatsoever to do with ability to read what's written.
