I just updated with apt-get because no update showed up in application manager... But settings->about still reports old software version.
I think this update didn't perform the /dev/mtd1 update, since osso-product-info shows old version as well.
Is there a way to update /dev/mtd1 so not to have to flash from scratch?

I suppose this calls for an auto-cleanup or a "Cleanup" button in the Application Manager. I like having the console as much as any other *nix geek here, but reclaiming space used by unused packages shouldn't require it (especially with apt.)

hmm... they renamed Extras in the application catalogs to maemo.org. Any way to change this back?
/etc/hildon-application-manager/catalogues is no help...

Dargo, do you have one of the pre-installed themes selected or a custom one? Cathy was having the same problem until she switched back to default theme
