No such options in mine either (with both IMAP and MfE accounts). Care to elaborate?

In email main view open menu > Settings > untick Incoming notifications does exist in the upcoming release PR1.2.
It is NOT yet included in 3.2010.02-8, see https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=5341 .
(By the way, no need to add comments to that report. All said already.)

Thanks for the pointer to that bug, Andre.

I see I'm a bit late to the party. What I'd like to have is the ability to disable email alerts except those with headers containing one of:
  • X-Priority: 1
  • X-MSMailPriority: High
Any parameters that apply to email alerts should be modifiable at the account level, and not have global effect.

Good luck getting that answer, I wasn't even able to get my simpler question answered. But then again, this isn't a paid forum, so free is free

I was just actually wondering the exact same thing, or at least some functionality to do that with user selectable headers & values. I don't suppose there's a feature request/brainstorm on that already? Anyone else interested?

the only setting besides disabling email auto updates is the notification light, now only if it added notification (x) sound off on individual alerts be nice.
if you are using mail for exchange, make sure you install the mfefolders app, really worth it so that junk, deleted and other folders you don't want to see aren't synced.......cuts down on probably 90% of the notifications i was getting
