Hi andrei1089,

Great app! Nice touch with the different graph views.

Version 0.2-4
Do not know if this is a bug or a suggestion - (my apologies if this has already been reported; my searching did not find anything related.)

In configuration you have a Unit configuration where English or Metric can be selected. I selected English. My expectation was that both Weight and Height would convert to English units (lbs. and inches or feet plus inches). But only Weight converted; Height remained in Metric units.

Suggestion: click on widget and display configuration screen and maybe more details.

Thanks for your efforts on this app.

I would only add would it be possible for accuracy sake to alloy us to add a stride measurement and sensitivity setting. I've notice that if I take public transport and forgot to stop it it will register my the ride as steps..lol (hey I'm no cheater). If not still a great little widget.

Thanks for your suggestion. I'll add a new option for this in the next release.
Currently the sensitivity is different for walking and running modes. But using the running mode when walking will make the distance and calories values less accurate (I've considered that steps are longer and more calories are lost when running)

Thanks for reporting this. It's on the "to do list " for the next release. Currently it's not really a bug as there's no code to convert the height values in English units.

The current way to display configuration is the standard way for widgets (http://wiki.maemo.org/Documentation/..._UI_Guidelines).
What other details would you like to see?

Thanks!
Could you please add 4 or 8px border around the whole applet to look more sexy?

Great widget but I must say that i had some performance problems with my desktop(switching applications, closing them, all menu animations, touch detection) and after closing this widget and data monitor widget my performance went back to normal.

I DO NOT KNOW if it was just my current setup or some weird glitch but i just wanted to say that keep on eye how you desktop behaves. There could be some memory leak on hildon how it handles widgets. I do not have adequate skills to debug this. Also I do not know how exactly reproduce this :| Maybe after 2-3 days uptime in certain conditions you start to notice that your desktop is not anymore so responsive. Just something to keep on eye

But great work here!

I'm using both widgets but didn't notice such behavior. Thanks for reporting, i'll try to make some tests to see if hildon-home is using much more memory with those widgets activated.

I'll try to improve the UI in the next release (also will probably increase the start/stop button). Other UI suggestions are welcomed. Thanks!

The package passed QA and is now in Maemo Extras: http://maemo.org/downloads/product/M...terhomewidget/

andrei1089, thank you for this fun widget.
i have a question regarding metric versus english settings. i used it yesterday and checked its results against what i know my stride length is... when i change the units to english the screen still prints kilometers but the speed and distance seem to be correct for miles. is this true?
also, it would be nice to set my height in feet.

Yes.. there is a bug. I'll upload a new version this week that will solve this problem. Also an option to set the step length manually will be available.

A new version (0.3-1) is available in extra-devel
Changes:
* fix reported bugs (most important the bug related to imperial units)
* option to set sensitivity
* option to set the step length manually

Enjoy!
