I still remember how buggy and instable n95 used to be with it's first firmware. There are updates coming (PR1.2) and hopefully MeeGo too in the future. Just be patient.

Well, we all have our own preferences. For me, N900/maemo is exactly the platform I had been waiting for many years. And for me, the only sad thing worth mentioning is the maemo/meego confusion. I guess it would have been too good to be true without that

Ok... Since August? Still sooo buggy... I think that we miss-understood... Maybe I didn't explain in right way... Anyway, like my first sentence was, Nokia- my choice, N900 best at the moment (used to have almost all models of Nokia), used and had bunch of pocket pc's and iphone (also have it now). People, I don't mean anything bad, like I said, just a bit disappointed with some stuff, that's all... Nothing special...

Well the public release, in the UK, was mid December (I know because i was waiting day by day ) It is buggy, but no more than most devices i have owned (Apple Newton, Psion 3c, Palm Vx, Sony NX73, UX50 and Nokia N95 8Gb). But it has done far more for me on day 1 than those devices ever achieved when I had finished with them.

The iPhone is a classic case, now after more than a year it is close to bug free. I wager the N900 (or other Meego device) will be far better in 18 months.

Before booking a flight, DO U DO RESEARCH of how many turbulences there will be, or who the pilot will be, or how many air hostesses will be on the flight???

IF every single person did their research properly, this phone would be only in the pockets of reviewers (plus some fools) at this moment...

IF people cannot complain on here, how will others (Those who are 'researching') find out about the phone??

I did loads of research and watched numerous youtube videos. Not one of them told me I would need a degree in Linux, maemo open platforms or any of the other blah and jargon.

Not one review said you cant copy your contacts to your sim, so forget about having groups, not one said it doesn't work with pc suite and you cant bluetooth photos to your pc, not one said you cant delete a music track from a playlist.......

I could go on, but its bedtime....

I think they might just have been a tad embarrassed that such simple features aren't there!

there's a lot of features I like and I'm desperate to love this phone, I'm trying honestly! I saw it as a natural progression after my n95 and waited for it 3 months after my upgrade was due and was so excited....

I hope everyone's right when they say it will get better

Are you sure. I loved my N95 8Gb, but when my N900 had to be repaired I found th N95 to be close to torture, it was as if i was back in the dark ages. N95 was a great phone with mediocre web capabilities. N900 is the reverse and I know which I prefer.
