Look, I doubt anyone disagrees. I sure don't. But many have us have been fighting that battle here for YEARS. At some point you either walk away or adopt the old prayer of Saint Francis:

"Lord grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference."

Odds are the childishness will have the opposite intended effect.

This isn't grade school.

Yeah, surely all the 10 people(97% of which are old Linux users) who actually bought an N900 would be in SO much trouble if the Release Candidate version was to have some bugs in it.

I mean, Microsoft lets people test RC-software(oh sorry they're evil and not open, can't mention here)! But of course Nokia and Maemo is the right and open way where community matters, no question about it.

You'd think PR1.2 was the Holy Grail.

You're griping at the wrong people. Have you actually read what I posted?

TBH Texrat, Anarae does have a valid point there - if this phone is for developers, and considering the fact that MeeGo in its current state IS available for the N900, why can't we "test" PR 1.2 too?
I mean, we're "good enough" to be able to install and use MeeGo (which I don't have to remind you - currently has no UI and missing lots of basic functionalities) but we're not "good enough" to test a simple update?

Unless of course, PR 1.2 does bring something more than "just an update", which in this case Nokia would want it to be released only on certain terms and conditions, which Nokia decided that will happen on a very certain occation...
