Don't you think they are actually working their asses off in the background to deliver an improved version soon? I do.

Haha, no we're still here. Loved your post, +1'd everything you mentioned on our internal todo list We're still a super small team so we have to be somewhat disciplined on when we goof off and chat with you guys . I know companies big and small hire dedicated customer service people but I think there's something to be said for having us devs be in touch with our users directly. It helps us be more responsive to user requests (plus, we love doing it ). The downside, is we might be a little less responsive.

Don't you wish someone from Nokia was as responsive as Peter and the Instinctiv team? There wouldn't be half the unrest if Nokia decided to have a couple of dedicated N900 and other device members here to publicly answer genuine concerns.

Well done Instinctiv - you're doing a great job and your customer service and responsiveness is a joy.

please somebody. help me! it just wont start! (yes i've read the thread, albeit in a rather scrambled order!) i have tried installing, uninstalling, done autoremove and clean inbetween, using ovi and instinctiv.com debs, someone suggested making a desktop shortcut, someone else suggested uninstalling other media players, i've uninstalled a lot of random stuff i can live without. change my oc from 1000 to 900. it still wont work at all!

i dont know the xterm run commands, so perhaps that will help?
and if someone could perhaps tell me where to find the log and have the grace to look at it for me if i post it?

hope someone here can help! i want this app so bad!

@Festivalnut

*Must already have rootsh installed*

sudo gainroot <enter>
apt-get remove libavcodec52. <enter>

while the application is installed
(Also, application manager has to be closed)

aw man i am so impressed with this player! okay its a bit laggy just now, but i'm sure that will improve with time. the album art is wicked, it downloaded almost all of my album covers despite some prwtty shoddy metadata, it clean and simple and looks good.

ps. theres an n900 coding competition running here that you may be interested in, since i think you have a winner already!
