Anybody got a fix on this and where to remove the decoders-support from?

Even after installing to the latest PR1.2 firmware I still get this problem - it even happens on video I took on the N900 just hours before...

Thanks

o to app manager and uninstall, then select it from the list, reboot and re-install. ps there is (was) a glitch where if you attempt to play an unsupported file, or a corrupt or damaged file, and receive this error, then all videos will fail to play whether they are supported or not, until you reboot or use the killall command mentioned earlier

I have the same problem. The same videos play sometimes, but mostly donīt. Doesnīt matter if I install or uninstall the extra-codec-support or execute the x-term command mentioned here. It might have started after I installed the codec-support, but now I canīt get rid of it. This makes me very sad , as I canīt stream the DFB press conference.

Any further ideas how to fix this?

I still can't fix this - the command 'killall gst-video-thumbnailerd' doesn't seem to do anything after a few tries. I never had any codec installed to unistall so that isn't a fix either.

Anyone know any other solutions?

Thanks

In my case it turned out to be network dependent.
I never got this error while at home over wifi, but constantly through public wlan with less bandwith. Maybe it is related to that, donīt know. Havenīt tried GSM/3G yet.

My problem is when playing files from the device itself - even video files that I have just recorded from the camera itself!

Everytime I try to play a video file, the first time it works, then after that I get the same message for every video file - unable to play - media not supported.

Any ideas?

I had a N85 and i just simply downloaded movies staight to my sd card from dvds that have a downloadable mp3 version and it worked perfectly, but i put the same sd card in my N900 and no movies play, is there anything i can do to make them work or are the suggestion on past posts apply to this problem too. if not it would be a good app. to have that would allow them to play, eazy!
