Sounds like it never gets to point where it sets colors. Does this happen also if you set widget transparency to 100%?

And what does this tell as "Status" -field:
dpkg -s imagemagick

yes i think your right it appears to stop after it says setting up font, i have tried with various fonts & different transparency settings but it will not work. i entered dpkg -s imagemagick in to xterm & it says install ok installed uner "status"

One thing came in to my mind; have you manually edited or removed some images from theme's images -directory?

yes i have, i started using deepblue plastic theme but added some of my own custom images from my edited android theme?

Okay, then I've located the problem
I needed to add some if-file-exists -statements into my code. Will upload new version soon.

Update is on it's way now. Should take like 20-30 mins before it's available to download.

And bad news in general:
I just accidently deleted the whole goddamn project folder of version 1.x which had almost_working_version of background changer :-(

If anyone knows how to recover deleted folder @ Ubuntu (I used rm -command), please share the knowledge with me.

Ahh awesome.

Too bad on your deleted project, Im not sure how to recover it. But I'll google some and see if i can find some usefull stuff.

It was faster to rewrite the backgrounds thing than google forever for the recovery solution...
