Actually if anyone asks, I always say "You really don't want this phone".

It's half-steath-patronisation (seriously, you'll have no idea how to use this properly) and half-heading-off (seriously, do you know what you'll have to go through to even get this to do a quarter of the things an iPhone can - and even then often worse?).

I've only spotted one other N900 user, a girl - on one of the very rare occasions that I braved the London buses. I might have spotted another one on a train but I'm not that sure. I did see a guy watching porn on his Archos brazen as... well, getout on the Tube though the other day - that threw me a bit.

Isn't that part of the fun ?

the n900 may not do things that the iPhone can, but then the iPhone can't do things that the N900 can..

It's a 50-50 debate.

there's a n900 user community in Malaysia where I'm at (about 100-200 users) but I've yet to run into anyone randomly using it. Most of the time i get the 'what phone is that?' comment.OT strangely enough, quite a few girls seem to be attracted to the UI.

i've seen three customers using N900 in the pub i'm working. all male one in early 20's two in about 40's. last one was an older russian guy who was sleeping in a table, and i tried to encourage him to leave, he dropped his N900 on the floor. i put the backcover back on and gave the phone to him. he was using the neon theme

If I were you I'd change the theme to 'reflect' before giving it back, and remind him in russian accent that real man chooses reflect something like that.

for some reason your post just made me smile from ear to ear, :P My n900 goes everywhere except clubbing with me. Unfortunately I've a bad track record with my phones while out boozing, so i fire up my n82 for that. Plus can't beat the pics i get with xenon flash, hehe.
