Re: Bounty: Yellownotes Home Applet

Re: So how's the WiFi?
There are big differences in Wifi sensitivity even between N800 and N810. N800 has a better sensitivity probably due to different antenna placement.
So N800/N810 dbm doesn't give any hints how...

Re: Handwriting, please…
I doubt that Nokia will drop stylus support even with a capacitive display.
As the Maemo platform already exists for quite some time there are many apps - besides handwriting reconition - which...

Re: Save Diablo! (a rant and request)
I wouldn't worry that everybody suddenly abandons the N8x0.
Going from N8x0 to N900 is imo a completely different thing than going from N700 to N8x0.
Compared to it's predecessors the N900 is...

Re: JAVA support?
I think support for developing Maemo specific Java applications (Hildon bindings...) is not even that important.
But nowadays every high end phone shoulde at least be able to run J2ME applications...

Re: AES-256 "zip" encryption for single files?
Isn't Openssl available for Maemo?
If it's available you should be able to do something like
encrypt:
openssl enc -aes-256-cfb -e -in filename.txt -out filename.enc
decrypt:
openssl enc...

Changes in version 0.4:
* (Re)added a combined save/lock & edit/unlock button
* Now notes are only saved, if there are actually any changes.
This also means that new, empty notes will...

Re: Bounty: Yellownotes Home Applet
I did rarely use these keys in previous versions, except when saving a note before rebooting the tablet. Therefore I did remove them. Though I see that accidentially deleting text might be more of a...

Re: Bounty: Yellownotes Home Applet
I'm working on it. Progress is a bit slow due to lack of time, Maemo/Linux development experience, or C knowlege in general.
But at least I have meanwhile a working build environment, Yellownotes...
