Re: what is this community prepared to do for us regarding the N900?

Here's a link to what I've referenced in my post:

Here's another shocker:

If you want to ***** and moan to Nokia due to their sub-par...

I agree 100% that the argument against baseless claims is indeed difficult.

Re: what is this community prepared to do for us regarding the N900?

Re: BBC: Android 2.2 release

But I thought the N900 was a pocket computer? Upgrades should be part of the computer philosophy, not just marketing terms to sell their product.

Re: BBC: Android 2.2 release

The unit is very expensive. I expect for many here, it's too expensive to buy once per year.

Personally I can afford it - but my purchase cycle is about every 3 years. Just don't see why I...

Re: Nokia n900 for $199 from NokiaUSA

Daydreaming of what Nokia is thinking with this discount. In a large conference room the dialogue ensues for exactly 2 minute, "All they do is complain", a moment of silence, then suddenly "hmm...

Re: Nokia n900 for $199 from NokiaUSA

Re: Freyja Media Player

I would definitely buy it if the price is reasonable (less than £10 if it's really good) and it has the following features:
- Equaliser (with presets)
- Hardware accelerated (thourgh DSP) because...

Re: Flash 10.1 beta for mobile out... just for Android

If Adobe were smart (assuming they were the only one involved with ire) they would be supporting the effort if they couldn't justify to their stockholders to invest their own effort (or if Nokia is...

Re: N900 good but not good enough (N900 vs Android)

At least everyone can agree on how to pronounce Android. "Maemo" wasn't a name that made any sense and was even less universally pronounceable. Meego is at least pronounceable but it sounds a bit...

Shame on BrowserMark/Rightware and/or Apple?

Just thought that the results from iPhone and Nexus One on browsermark (bit.ly/brmark) are too strange:

- N900's browser can handle flash, iPhone can't;
- N900's browser can handle complex pages...

Re: N900 graveyard

I know. Eventually the experiment will fade away and we'll all be buying vendor-owned, locked down phones we have to battle the manufacturer for control over.

I can't wait. </snark>

Why do you think "expressing your disappointment" to the members of this forum is in any way helpful, interesting, entertaining or whatever?

Re: N900 graveyard

This dramatic need to create a post to announce one's exit is weird. The points made are valid but in no way new or enlightening.

While I agree that lack of MMS is weird I have not missed...
