Re: Replacement Battery for N800
I just checked PriceGrabber and there are several dealers selling for under $25. They all claim that what they have is original equipment or that it meets or exceeds the manufactures specs. ...

Re: Maemo Mapper Help
A while back I wrote a tutorial explaining how I got MM setup. I still think it is valid. At least check it out at:

Re: Help...GPS on N800 w/OS2008???
I still can't get Map to see my BT GPS. Maemo-Mapper has no problem with it. What I don't see in the Map UI is where it is actually searching. MM shows a bar initially where it is searching for a...

Re: Help...GPS on N800 w/OS2008???
I just installed 2008OS on my n800. I launched Map and then tried to have it communicate with my Bluetooth GPS. I get "no GPS connection". The GPS receiver works fine with Maemo-Mapper. Is there...

I would like to have a feature where, when you have a route loaded, you can have a display of distance to the end of the route or to a waypoint that stays on the screen. Currently that information...

Re: how to tell which firmware version you have?
The technology is on the move and they have to give it a name. To make it easy for people, a simple table would do. Nokia should be posting it because it's their baby. Nokia seems less tuned in...

Re: how to tell which firmware version you have?
Duh! I guess that was obvious.
I have OS 2007 edition, version 2.2006.51-6. I guess that is out of date.
My other questions is about how to correlate the firmware version to a version name. ...

Re: Is there a Perl for the n800/n810
It seems like a given that perl should be on the n800. It's only software running on a linux-based system. I don't know the n800 well enough to understand why it isn't an easy task to be put on it....

I would like to run perl on the n800. I read in a description of the n810 that it runs perl. If so, why not the n800? I've never heard of anyone using perl on any of this hardware. Does anyone...
