Hey guys, i tried apt-cache search <name of OVI app> but the only ones that appear are the free ones (expected).

But thats not my complaint/problem.

When i go to install one of these free apps, like Bambuser with
Code:
sudo gainroot
apt-get install bambuser
Reading Package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
E: Handler silently failed
Can anyone explain what that means exactly?

Thanks

The simplest thing to do is do not use a package-handler (including apt-get or dpkg) for items in the ovi repository. Instead, download them directly from the Ovi website. If extra dependencies are required e.g. for BlessN900, these may not be included with the package on the Ovi website so you'll need to get those from the maemo.org repositories. Good luck
