The coverage maps are not 100% accurate. Before you drop $500 on an N900 it is worth your while to test your area with a loaner device.

Yes, but does Nokia Messaging itself use IMAP-IDLE? If it has to poll your private IMAP account anyway, it's not necessarily improving your delivery time... right?

How often do you have the client check the server for new messages? I wonder how short the interval can be (since we don't have IMAP-IDLE support) before we start noticing a hit on the battery?
